Very rarely can a band rock with the passion and sincerity that will make you want to throw a brick through the front window of a Starbucks or your closest McDonalds, but such feelings have naturally become a staple when being involved with Violent Scene from a Film. VSFAF's brand of desperate and melodic screamo is one to be reckoned with. From their first demo to their continuing onslaught of live shows VSFAF has proven themselves to be one of the most inspiring groups of people to come out of southern California in a very long time. VSFAF formed in early 2002 and already it is easy to understand why they have been asked to play shows with highly acclaimed bands like Phobia and many others. The chaos and beauty that is delicately captured by VSFAF in every song quickly grabbed the attention of Tear It Down Records and an immediate emotional and intellectual bond was formed between the two. The intensity of VSFAF cannot be denied…"It was beautiful. It still is. A clouded sky, placid, ripped apart and embraced by orange and red and broken glass. Fifth and University has never seen something like this…" Is that the Gap burning down…I think so.
